Thanksgiving Recipes

Hey just checking to see if anyone has any good recipes for Thanksgiving or suggestions for the best way to cook the turkey. I've been hit or miss with the bird over the years. Sometimes it comes out OK, but other times I've had disasters where the white meat is already dry and hitting 175 degrees when the dark meat is still bleeding. I'm up for some new ideas - let's hear it!

  1. We do a huge family Thanksgiving where everyone makes a dish. My sister, who hosts the dinner, makes the birds. So no help there from me. I'm in charge of mashed potatoes. I do two batches. Usually something normal-ish like sour cream and chives, and then something exotic. Like wasabi-garlic mashers. I've got recipes for both if you are interested.

  2. I can't help, either. Hoping you get some responses that will be helpful for me, too!

  3. Yeah I'm looking for a new way to season and roast the turkey and maybe some stuffing ideas. I read a stuffing recipe that uses dried apricots and sourdough bread that looks pretty good. Thanks Earl but I've got the taters down.
